Course Schedule and Enrolment
Summary
This course will introduce the technique of making a proddy or clippy mat, and start you on a small project such as a cushion or rug. You will also learn about the history and the current need for recycling textiles.
More Information
Using current materials from charity shops you will recycle them to make a traditional proddy or clippy mat or cushion cover. You will also have the opportunity to try using other materials and explore the many textures that can be achieved.
The historical context of the craft will be discussed through my research and the role it played in society. For the future this craft is recycling textiles and making them into something beautiful and useful. It is also a wonderful activity to do!
