Restoration Village: what makes Welcombe Barton and the Sabin Barn so special?

The Yarner Trust is in Welcombe, a village close to North Devon's Heritage coastline in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Yarner Trust promotes sustainable and creative living through practical courses on rural skills, creative crafts, sustainable buildings, environmental arts events, summer camp and an exciting schools programme, which take place in and around Welcombe Barton and the Sabin Barn.

The Welcombe Barton at the Yarner Trust helps support a thriving local community, bringing together many heritage skills and creative crafts. The Barton plays a central role in village life by hosting many weekly groups such as Spinners & Weavers, the Stitcher's group, a basket making willow group, and is used by the Historical Society, the Wholefood Co-operative, the Veg Box scheme, and many others.

More about the Yarner Trust and activities at the Barton:
